The mission of Star Schools is to give quality, educational support to previously
disadvantaged learners at affordable cost.
Teachers employed at Star Schools teach part-time and are sourced from top schools
where they hold permanent positions.
Saturday and other supplementary educational programmes assist learners in Grade12 to
improve their results. Better results will allow them access to tertiary institutions and the job market.
It costs R3,000 per learner per year. This includes Saturday School (throughout
the year), Winter School (full-time during the winter holidays) and pre-exam sessions.
