Twenty top maths and science students from Star Schools and our three learners listened to inspirational talks from successful professionals at Ernst & Young.
Career Day at Ernst & Young (2002) Aspiring chartered accountants and information systems professionals need to work hard at mathematics and science to ensure entrance into Ernst & Young's university bursary programme when leaving school. This was the message from business advisory firm, Ernst & Young at a career day seminar it hosted for grade 12 learners from previously disadvantaged communities. Thirty-five school children who met minimum standards were selected to attend the seminar, and were given an introduction to the accounting and auditing profession. More about the career day...
